Today was the first time in a long time that I wore a properly altered bench shirt. My Katana came back from Ken Anderson and it was altered perfectly. Really biting in the tri's and alot of pop out of the chest plate, big PR's today. Looking forward to my next free weight, this shirt should take me right to 600.

the Kitana is dialed in, could not touch with 555. My bench has been on cruise control for a while, not having a good dialed in shirt, now I'll start pushing the heavier weights and work towards a 600 bench.

my Katana is dialed in perfectly, can finally start handling heavier band tensions, my free weight work should get a boost.

I can't remember who was asking about my bench training with the Katana. My shirt is dialed in and it's been forever since I did reps with 500, the 4 reps just went right up. very happy with this shirt. keep in mind, when I'm getting set under the bar, I really have to fight the shirt to get my arms in the proper position, that's how dialed in it is.

totally agree the tighter the shirt the more important that it is 100% fitted right and really careful to detail and the better it works however could be big disaster if not fitted right as well.

12/3 today I completed my 3rd band rotation for my board work. 1st rotation: sm, med & large 2nd rotation: sm & mini, med & mini, large & mini 3rd rotation: sm & monster mini, med & monster mini, large & monster mini
being that I do boards once a week, it takes me 9 weeks to go through all 3 rotations. keep in mind, the key to this system is to stick to the fundamentals, squat, bench and deadlift, but change it up every workout. Alternating between free weight and bands, every band workout change your tension and most important plenty of R&R. This 3 band roation is working very well for my board work, making my bench stronger, so I'm probably going to implement at least a 2 band rotation for my ME squat.
I also dropped to a 1b,3b,5b instead of 2b,4b,6b. had some problems with my touch set the other day, my 2b with this new Katana has been real good, no problem touching, so I lowered my board rotation. was able to touch with a 1b, will work that for a while.

look at the post right above. touching real easy with a 2b, tried a touch set and couldn't touch. Figured if I got comfortable with a 1b, a touch set would go better. I've been able to touch a 1b, so I should have a better touch set in the near future.

I'm an idiot. What do you think is the difference between your 1 board and off the chest?

first time doing 2 sets of larges with the SSB today. actually felt good. Mike and I both did the bar x 1, being that I have a suit on and he doesn't, he can't beat me, so I did a second set with 30 more pounds of bar weight. Hopefully Mike's work schedule will stabilize now and we can get back into a routine.

12/26 today's bench workout isn't anywhere in the JA template, but I have found it to be a great workout to do prior to a free weight set to failure. Light bands, more bar weight. We have spent a lot of time doing board work lately, working on getting the bar lower. Haven't done a free weight workout in a while, today's workout really gets you ready for a straight weight workout.

no, was looking for 5, just couldn't get going. Chris said the bar rolled on my back. 755 for 10 or so should go well, 825 felt light on my back.
