do you see the problems with choked bands? as soon as the bar starts to come down the bands are flapping, meaning they are offering no resistance. It's not doing a thing for you.
Too many guys get wrapped up into the Westsiders and who ever else saying the bands are equal to so much bar weight when they choke the bands for benching and squatting, trust me they are full of shit. When you watch there videos, as soon as the bar starts to come down the bands are flapping, how can the bands provide any resistance when they are flapping. next time you bench, try doubling the green bands, video tape that and post it. if that is the only rack you can use, you will have to try and make it work. I can e-mail the owner of your gym the blue prints to my rack and maybe he will have one made for you. Take a good look at the Mazza bench videos and let me know if you see any bands flapping, we get resistance through the entire range of the stroke, thus tremendous free weight strength.

Ya you would build so much more strenght of the chest if you double the bands. Have you messed with the short bands much Jim?

not sure why doubling the greens is so hard, we double the large black bands for benching. also, for your template for raw unity, how much can you bench for 12 reps?
