Hi Everyone,
Just stumbled across this site last week, and I've been reading everything that I can since then.
I've been lifting the last 8 months using a 5x5 program. I'm 24, 5 ft 8, and 170 pounds. Raw bench is 195 right now, but I would love to put it in the high 200's, 300 would be a dream. Have some nagging knee issues that prevent me from squating/DLing with a lot of weight (unless I want to get knee surgery), so I really want to work on my bench, and I hope JA can help me out. I've never lifted with a shirt, and would like to stay raw for the moment.
A few questions:
Would the Raw Bench DVD be the best place for me to start on JA? (Looks like it to me, just want to make sure before I send in an order)
Will it explain everything I need to know about setting up the bands?
Does it explain a template to follow?
Also which bands would you recommend for just the bench for someone new to JA?
From reading around the site it seems like a set of minis, a set of monster-minis, and a set smalls would be a good start, let me know if there should be more, or less.
For the bench do I want the 20 inch bands or the 40 inch bands?
Thanks for any help! Can't wait to get started.
-Keith

the raw bench DVD goes hand in hand with Kenny's raw log. I made the DVD while putting Kenny through his first JA cycle. Kenny went from a 200 raw bench to a 300 raw bench in 2 cycles and is missing half a leg. So, your 2 legs with bad knees should be okay. The DVD will explain everything. The 20 inch bands are for deadlifting. If you get the raw DVD I will throw in Mazza's bench DVD as well.

Awesome. I'll have a check in the mail tonight.
Thanks Jim.
