Dl just isn't going the way it should. Last cycle, I pulled 625 x 2 with mini's, a pull like that I should be in the low 700's. But, my system just keeps peaking early. This cycle my dl is just in the toilet from goofing around with different dl suits. So, started to think, this is what I came up with. The way I train my squat and bench is just right on, making great gains. We've discussed changing bands every ME workout for the squat and bench and just going for 1 rep PR's, that seems to be working very well, remember your free weight work is an indicator of the strength gains you make from the ME work and the free weight work is definitely moving.
So, starting next cycle my dl will look like this: cycle 1: free weight 10 reps cycle 2: med bands x 1 (triple wrapped) cycle 3: free weight 8 reps cycle 4: large bands x 1 (triple wrapped) cycle 5: free weight 6 reps cycle 6: large bands x 1 (triple wrapped)

since starting this post, I'm now in my second cycle of this new set up. Last Sat, day 6 cycle 3, I pulled 535x8. I have no one or nothing to reference this to, but it seems pretty strong and 2 weeks prior to that I pulled 585x1 with tripled wrapped medium bands, I never pulled close to that with the double wrapped mediums.
But, I'll need to pull over 700 this year then I'll know that I'm on the right track, but as far as my training number's, they are better than ever!
as far as my free weight jumps, I'm making 50 pound jumps from one free weight workout to the next.
Only thing I'm not sure about is the rep scheme, I'm wondering if the rep scheme is a little too high for a 100% max attempt. I'm starting think that maybe something like 8,6,4 would be better. Get the bar weight a little higher, we'll see!
