On some of the band rotations we change bands each workout between 3 different tensions. The A, B, C, would refer to whatever band tensions you are using.
For example on days 5 and 10,
#1-5 you use minis #1-10 you use smalls #2-5 you use smalls & minis #2-10, back to minis
It would be different bands depending on the exercise and your strength level.
In addition, (this is JA), if you are new to lifting and have never used bands you should probably stick with one tension and just push the bar weight. After several cycles, increase the tension and push the bar weight again. This will allow your joints, tendons and ligaments some time to adapt to the band tension. Once you've completed your first time through the template, then you could set up a band rotation for your second time through. So, your first time through, break the template up into 2 mini-cycles. Cycles 1-3 with for example the mini's and then cycles 4-6 with the smalls, for all exercises. Once you've developed some strength and confidence start pushing the tension and set up a rotation.
