My name is Markus Branz, I am 40 years old and work in manufacturing. I have very long workdays and don't sleep enough. I mention that to show that the below posted gains can indeed be accomplished by the average hard working Joe. I am lifetime drugfree and have not taken any supplements in a long time. My weight has been consistently between 245 and 250 since the beginning of my JA training, that started about 1 1/2 years ago. I just finished my 7th cycle.I work out by myself at home. Before that I was your regular BB type gym rat. Decided in 03/2003 to do powerlifting and compete to have better goals and drive for working out. I did not expect then to make these tremendous gains but rather wanted just to join competitions without embarassing myself too much. The WS website lead me to JA articles, thank god, and here are my numbers:
Raw maxes after 2 month of WS 03/2003:
S: 435, BP: 245, DL: 455, Total: 1135
First equipped maxes after 2 cycles of JA 09/2003:
S: 545, BP: 285, DL: 475, Total: 1305
First competition after 3 cycles of JA 11/2003:
S: 606, BP: 308(almost locked out), DL: 528, Total: 1442 (if BP would have counted)
After 7 cycles of JA 11/2004:
S: 755, BP: 385, DL 565, Total: 1705
Max after 9 cycles of JA 5/14/2005:
S: 805, BP: 425, DL 585, Total: 1815
Max after 19 cycles of JA 3/10/2008:
BW: 240 lbs, Age: 43
S: 830, BP: 465 lbs, DL: 565, Total: 1860 lbs
I still can barely believe these weights, it's an unbelievable system if you stick to it.
