I've picked up another trapped nerve. This time in my back.
I have loss of sensation in outside of my left thigh and occasional burning feeling in the same area.
How should I go about easing the problem?

This sounds like an entrapment of one of the nerves that passes through the groin and supplys sensation only (no muscles) to the outer and front (somewhat) of the thigh. The condition is called Meralgia Paresthetica, and is common in those w/ protruberant abdomens (that can push on the nerve as it passes over the bony area located on the front of the pelvis ), tight belts, corsets, or underware. It is also common in those w/ diabetes. There are other risk factors as well. To aleviate this problem is to eliminate causitive factors, be it weight reduction, decreasing abd flabiness and increasing abd muscle tone. Sometimes for symptomatic relief, a cortisone nerve block can be done.
If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask.
