This time last year I was in the middle of my 13th training cycle, I'm currently in my 18th cycle. Although my 1 rep maxes have increased, I'm going to focus on my overall strength gains. This time last year I benched 345 x 8, I recently did 400 x 10 and 420 x 7. On the squat, a year ago I was at 715 x 6, I recently did 735 x 10 and 785 x 8. It's not so much the difference in bar weight, it's the fact that I increased my bar weight the amount that I did and increased the reps. It's one thing to increase your bench 55 pounds for 1, but to increase it 55 pounds for 10, I was kind of shocked at my increases. My body weight has stayed the same and so has my gear. Still drug-free! My point of this post is, if you put your time in and develop your band strength, anyone can realize the same gains that I have made if not more!
