#8-6 was the first time with lg, sm, mon mini. Mike was at the Arnold, I tried my new triple denim but the collar started to go so I put the phenom on, without Mike I couldn't get the shirt set just right, so I wasn't quite able to lock-out that new tension.

Today was the second time I tried to max my bench. Last Sat Mike wasn't around to set my shirt and I got crushed with 575. I took the week off and tried again today. 525 went real well. I then intended to go to 575, Mike said no way, go to 600 you will get 575. So, I gave 600 a shot and was just short of lock-out. I probably would have gotten it last week, but I gained alot of confidence with 600 today. I've only been in the phenom for a few weeks, a complete cycle in it and I should have 600 or more no problem when I max next time. good cycle, happy with the DL and bench and the squat is coming along. I sent my canvas back to Ginny to get it snugged up a bit, I think she let too much out when I had it loosened.

Good run at 600. You need to put it together and get a meet under your belt to show off the hard work.

I was going to talk about that in a week or two. I'm starting my new job on Monday, going back to work for Bombardier at Teterboro, NJ. Still working on corporate jets. Anyway, I will have every other weekend off, last job I was working steady weekends. So, once I get going should be able to start scheduling some meets "for fun" and do the 600 in a meet.

Will hopefully start a new cycle in the next week or two. Went through orientation at the new job this past week. Will work days Sun-Tues, then start my overnights next Sun. Just going to try and maintain, then get started before I lose to much.

I do the reverse band prior to my ME bench, more or less as a warm-up. I double the bands over the rung of the ladder, the ladder is much closer to my chest than doubling over the top of the rack. The bands give me some pop off my chest, but because the ladder is closer the bands give out several inches before lock-out, so I'm doing more of the work. In the past, the bands would help all the way through lock-out, that I didn't like.
